Early Literacy

The importance of early exposure and immersion in language cannot be underestimated according to early literacy experts. Language Arts standards require focus on reading, writing, speaking and listening.  The Hilton School District provides students with several options such as Reading Recovery and other interventions to assist at the earliest levels.

The Hilton CSD Instruction Office works everyday to provide high quality learning for all students.  The Hilton Office of Elementary and Secondary Staff Development provides professional support throughout the year.  Newly developing technologies expand the possibilities for composing in multiple media and for speaking to wider audiences than ever before and at a faster pace than ever before in our history.

Hilton's Learning Through Technology Department provides both technology integration and opportunities for learning for teachers, staff, students and parents.
