Teacher selected for US All-American Marching Band faculty
to perform Jan. 8 at Alamodome in San Antonio
Ms. Beth Fabrizio, music
teacher in the Hilton Central School District, has
been selected to be a faculty member of the United
States All-American Marching Band honors
ensemble by the
National Association of Music Education [MENC]
along with Dr. Nola Jones, Director of the University of
Tennessee at Martin music program and this ensemble.
The United States All-American Marching Band will
be rehearsing in San Antonio Texas Jan 3-9, 2011 at
the Alamodome. These seniors in high school
have been selected from all over the United States,
with support from the Army and Music Educators
National Convention [MENC].
Beth A. Fabrizio holds a Bachelor of
Music from the Eastman School of Music in Clarinet
Performance and a Masters of Music in Conducting, Education
and Performance from Ithaca College. She has studied
conducting with Rodney Winther and Dr. Donald Hunsberger and
Clarinet with Michael Webster, Richard Waller, Stanley
Hasty, William Osseck, Carmine Campione and Richard
Stoltzman. Ms. Fabrizio maintains a private clarinet studio
with numerous students pursuing careers in music education,
therapy, recording and performance. She herself performs as
the principal clarinetist and personnel manager with The
Greater Rochester Music Educators Wind Ensemble, and former
Eb clarinet with The Perinton Concert Band. Ms. Fabrizio
has conducted various all-county and festival ensembles and
given master classes and clinics to numerous high school and
college ensembles and state associations across the United
States and Japan. She has consulted such marching bands as
Liverpool, Webster, Baldwinsville, Eastridge, West Seneca
West, Hilton, Robinson High School, and Lafayette Jefferson
High School.
Ms. Fabrizio has been the brass caption
head with The Carolina Crown Drum and Bugle Corps, brass
coordinator with The Pride of Soka from Tokyo, Japan and
brass instructor with The Boston Crusaders Drum and Bugle
Corps and is presently with The Glassmen from
Toledo, Ohio. She has also conducted honors ensembles
on European Tours with American Music Abroad Empire Tour.
January 2011 will find Ms. Fabrizio on the music faculty of
the MENC United States Army All-American Marching Band in
San Antonio, Texas. Ms. Fabrizio has adjudicated and
continues to work for DCI, DCA, BOA, USSBA, Northwest Band
Circuit, Indiana Marching Band Circuit and other independent
contractors around the country. She is the past caption
head for music for The New York State Federation of Contest
Judges. She is active in NYSSMA, MENC, NYSBDA, SAI and her
own county association as past All-County Band Coordinator
for nine years.
Ms. Fabrizio has been an All-Conference
Chaperone and past MENC All-Eastern Head Chaperone. Ms.
Fabrizio is a member of Delta Kappa Gamma Education
Honorary, Denison University Teacher of the Year, and was
inducted into the Rochester Crusader Drum and Bugle Corps
Hall of Fame in 2004. Ms. Fabrizio has become a 2005-06 and
a 2006-07 member of Whose Who in American Teachers.
