Wrestling Coach Chuck Partridge retires in 2011; record 330/85;
honored at Clayton Barnard Tourname nt

After more than two decades of coaching
Chuck Partridge, Hilton High School Social Studies teacher,
has retired from coaching wrestling at Hilton High School
September 2011. He was honored Saturday, Jan. 14,
2012, at the 32nd Annual Clayton Barnard Wrestling
Tournament held at Hilton High School.
Coach Partridge was recognized at the
Tournament for his many years of service and dedication to
the Hilton High School Wrestling program. He was presented
with a plaque and was honored in front of the wrestlers,
coaches, and many fans at the start of the finals of the
tournament on Saturday night.
"Chuck is highly respected within
Section V and New York State for his coaching and impact on
the sport of wrestling. Chuck has made a tremendous impact
on not only our program here in Hilton
but also through-out Section V and NY State," said. Hilton
CSD Athletic Director Michael Giruzzi, CAA. "Chuck has
coached in our program for the past 28 years, 23 of them as
the varsity head coach. He is a major reason why our program
is considered one of the best in Monroe County and Section
V."
Chuck has posted over 330 wins as a
varsity coach with only 85 losses. He earned his 300th win as a varsity wrestling coach
December 18, 2009. Read more about

For the 15th consecutive year,
Spencerport HS won the Barnard Tournament posting a 282.5
total with Brockport at 211.5; Webster Schroeder at 190.5;
Fairport at 175.5; and Hilton at 169.0. Hilton
sophomore Vincent DePrez maintained his unbeaten record
[32-0] winning at 113 lbs.
New Varsity Wrestling Coach in Hilton
is Craig Gross, Physical Education teacher at Hilton High
School.
