Hollywood Stars fundraising event, to be held
January 21, 2012 at 5:30 pm at Merton Williams
Middle School, located at 200 School La., Hilton.

The event will feature the comedy of Hilton High
School teacher Marc D’Amico, as well as a silent
auction, great food and drink, a Chinese auction,
silent art auction and great fun with friends and
family. Marc holds a B.A. in English and a
Master’s degree in Education. His stand-up weaves voices,
storytelling and physical humor into a show that continually
comments on human folly, while his improv uses uniq ue
characters and relationships to make audience members
reflect on their own idiosyncrasies. Marc is a member of Unleashed!,
Rochester’s only long-form improv troupe. He was the
runner-up in the 2006 Flour City Stand-Up Comedy Faceoff and
has performed on stages across Western New York and the
Northeast.
The Hilton Educational Foundation was
created in July 2006 by a group of dedicated community
members and educators who came together to help support the
students of the Hilton Central School District. The
foundation provides Hilton students with opportunities
beyond what they can receive from the school district, such
as scholarships for post-secondary education. The Hilton
Education Foundation is a charitable, not-for-profit
organization dedicated to supporting quality education
programs for every student in the Hilton Central School
District. The Foundation was established to receive gifts
and donations in order to provide funding to enhance the
educational programs and opportunities of the Hilton Central
School District.
Proceeds from this event will support
classroom mini-grants for Hilton teachers, scholarships for
graduating seniors and funds for the “Principal’s Checkbook”
program – a way for students in need to receive assistance
for things such as school supplies and clothing.
