Hilton CSD Middle Schoolers celebrate International Day of Peace; over 100 students sign banner

Students in Merton Williams Middle School from the Spanish Club, French Club, and SADD Club [Students Against Destructive Decisions] came together to September 20 to celebrate International Peace Day. 

"The students made pin-wheels to put in front of the school to show their support for International Peace day," said Health Educator and SADD Representative Clarie Drexler. "They made a banner for students to sign making a pledge for peace in the community, school, or within their own lives.  The banner is being displayed in the school were over 100 students have already signed it."

International Day of Peace was a UN resolution passed in 2002.
