Hilton HS Drama Club presents Just Another High School Play rescheduled for May 15  at 7:30 pm in the HHS auditorium

The Hilton High School Drama Club presents Just Another High School Play on May 15 at 7:30 pm at Hilton High School auditorium, 400 East Ave., Hilton.

Just Another High School Play  by Bryan Starchman is produced by special arrangement with  Eldridge Publishing Co. according to Drama Club Advisor Leah Oltean.  Tickets are $7.00 and seating is general admission.  "Thirty-five students in grades 9-12 are in the cast," Mrs. Oltean said.  "Seniors Mason Ames and Alexander Sinanan are the student assistant directors."

The play features a group of high school actors, abandoned by their drama teacher, who have to fend for themselves opening night in front of an impatient audience . Their teacher has left them hanging because no one has been showing up to rehearsals and no one is really quite sure what they are supposed to do. The student assistant director and the stage manager step in, find a box of scripts which they pass out to the cast, and try to throw something together.  What follows is a rollicking show full of physical comedy, gags, and satirical re-writings of many plays from Shakespeare to Albee.  This comedy covers nearly every angle of the typical high school play with a dose of history and improvisation thrown in for good measure.
