standards? In 2009-10, the higher Grade
3-8 cutoff scores implemented by the State Education
Department has resulted in more children not meeting
state standards. The greater demands and changes taking
place in our society and world must influence the work
we do at the school house. We must continue to examine
our current programs and practices and seek ways to
improve.
