NYS DMV Online Learner's Permit Testing
Students may take their Learner’s Permit test online at Hilton High School. Hilton Community Education is NYS DMV-certified to offer the on-site testing. Students who are within two months of their 16th birthday and currently enrolled and in good standing at Hilton High School are eligible. NOTE: the test is only for Hilton High School students. Students must be 16 years old in order to drive with the Learner's Permit. Manuals are available when the $10 pre-registration fee is paid in the Community Education Registrar’s Office located in District Offices, 225 West Ave., Hilton.
NYS DMV - After passing the online exam, students will be given all of the paperwork needed to take to the Dept. of Motor Vehicles in order to apply for a Learner's Permit. The $10 processing fee is in addition to the DMV fees required to obtain a permit. Students must bring to the exam one of the following forms of ID: HCSD Student ID with photo or NYS DMV non-driver photo ID.
Mail-In Registration: Print out REGISTRATION FORM and mail with payment to: Hilton Community Education, 225 West Ave., Hilton, NY 14468.
Walk-In Registration: 9 a.m. - 2 p.m. Mon., Wed., Thurs. and Fri. CE Office, 225 West Ave., Hilton, NY 14468. No phone registrations.
Testing: PLEASE COME TO THE LIBRARY IMMEDIATELY AFTER SCHOOL. Testing takes places from 2:30 - 3:30 p.m. at the Hilton High School Library Computer Lab 'A', 400 East Ave., Hilton.
