Roxanne consistently demonstrates a strong People First mindset. She prioritizes the well-being of her students, cultivating a classroom environment where they feel safe, supported, and motivated to learn. Her commitment to engagement is evident in the creative and thoughtful learning experiences she designs, always seeking new ways to keep students actively involved.
As a Grade Level Leader, Roxanne models quiet, steady leadership. She approaches change with professionalism and positivity, providing reassurance and practical support to her colleagues. When the Science of Reading was introduced at Grade 2, she proactively created small-group instructional kits for her team—personalized in each teacher’s favorite color—to help ease the transition and reduce stress during a period of significant instructional shift.
Roxanne is a tremendous asset to Village Elementary, the second-grade team, and the greater Hilton community. Her dedication, leadership, and unwavering commitment to students truly set her apart. I am so thankful for her sense of humor, her expertise and her thoughtfulness toward others.

Some High Schoolers from Sources of Strength met with 1st and 2nd graders in Mrs. Robinson's and Mrs. Heise's classes at Village Elementary yesterday. They talked about how kids can be strong on the inside as well as the outside. They shared what they were grateful for and then made gratitude turkeys.

Village Elementary students had some special guests serving them their lunches today-Superintendent Kosiorek along with Assistant Superintendents Paolini, Dale and Geist were helping out in the cafeteria. They jumped in after being invited by the staff during a recent listening tour.

Members of the SADD (Students Against Destructive Decisions)/Fun Club from Merton Williams spent some time with first graders at Village talking to them about being safe for Halloween. The club consists of 7th and 8th graders that work on empowering young peers to make safe, healthy choices in life. The club would like to create monthly events that support our district's goals and work hand in hand with peers throughout our Hilton Schools.

On Friday QUEST took part in the Big Apple Crunch, a state-wide celebration of New York's apple harvest where all the students take a bite from an apple at the same time. Here's a video from the event: https://youtu.be/fmK-HUgGNoE

A warm welcome to our new Assistant Principals at Village Elementary School. Caitlin Law will be joining us from the Fairport CSD where she served as a sitting assistant principal at the Dudley School.  Kim Eichas will be joining Village from the Churchville-Chili Middle School where she served as a House Administrator. Both were approved at last night's Board of Education meeting. We're happy to have you as part of the Hilton team!

Village Elementary School picked the perfect day to hold its annual One Healthy Village Walk. Throughout the day classes could be seen walking around Hilton to help promote balanced and healthy lives.

Seems fitting that Hilton has so many Golden Apple winners! Today, Channel 8 visited Village Elementary to surprise third grade teacher Alyssa Kasper who was nominated by her co-worker, Allison Kukuvka. You can see the full story on May 6.
