Thank you to all of the students and families who donated to the Merton Williams spring food and personal item drive to support the Hilton Food Shelf as part of our IB service-learning project. They collected over 600 items and teachers raised over $500 as part of their basket raffle. The Hilton Food Shelf supports over 200 families within the Hilton School District boundaries, so all donations and money directly help others within our community! The Hilton Food Shelf is located in the Hilton Community Center on Henry Street in the village and accepts donations year-round.

It was an afternoon of fun competition between the classes and faculty as the High School enjoyed a pep rally before heading off on Spring Break. You can see pictures from the assembly here: https://hiltonschools.smugmug.com/2025-2026/High-School/Spring-Pep-Rally

Roxanne consistently demonstrates a strong People First mindset. She prioritizes the well-being of her students, cultivating a classroom environment where they feel safe, supported, and motivated to learn. Her commitment to engagement is evident in the creative and thoughtful learning experiences she designs, always seeking new ways to keep students actively involved.
As a Grade Level Leader, Roxanne models quiet, steady leadership. She approaches change with professionalism and positivity, providing reassurance and practical support to her colleagues. When the Science of Reading was introduced at Grade 2, she proactively created small-group instructional kits for her team—personalized in each teacher’s favorite color—to help ease the transition and reduce stress during a period of significant instructional shift.
Roxanne is a tremendous asset to Village Elementary, the second-grade team, and the greater Hilton community. Her dedication, leadership, and unwavering commitment to students truly set her apart. I am so thankful for her sense of humor, her expertise and her thoughtfulness toward others.

Alicia is always willing to speak her mind, and use her voice to help those around her.

Mike actually received a pair of shout outs thanks to his People First and Welcoming and Affirming approach to his job.
Mr. Mike is the first face that students, families and staff see as they enter QUEST each day. He takes the time to greet each student, family and staff member, showing genuine care for each person's wellbeing. The smile that he shares and the time that he takes to welcome/ check-in with people instills a sense of calm that adds to the quality of everyone's day.
Mike is always smiling and greeting us - often opening the doors before we have a chance, so we don't drop our things! He takes protecting our students and staff very seriously. I'm grateful for our entire security team!

Patrick was working at Merton Williams when a member of the Hilton Area Swim Team lost her cell phone at practice. Not only did he help to try and find it that night, but he also followed up with the family the next morning and spent some more time looking for it on his own.

Save the date for a great family event to help raise funds for scholarships to benefit Hilton High School Seniors. The annual Little Cadet Carnival is coming next month! Tickets go on sale April 6.

Tim regularly offers to assist operations and other drivers with different items. He is often one of the first drivers to our building to start buses (often at 5am or just before) when it is exceedingly cold, icy, or snowy. Tim is a gem staff member - does the right thing every day, not looking for any recognition - but definitely deserves it!

Nicole does everything she can to make people around her feel better, both in and outside of school.

From investing to the dangers of poaching, to the importance of learning from your dog and your family, the students who gave TED Talks yesterday at Northwood did an amazing job. You can see pictures from the event here: https://hiltonschools.smugmug.com/2025-2026/Northwood/Ted-Talks

A great job today by the sophomores who presented their personal projects. Never easy to get up in front of people and present, but they made it look easy.

Northwood's Advanced Band traveled to the High School to play alongside the Wind Ensemble. It was a great chance for some of the younger musicians in the district to see how far their talent and hard work can take them if they continue to play. You can see pictures from the event day here:
