Village Elementary students had some special guests serving them their lunches today-Superintendent Kosiorek along with Assistant Superintendents Paolini, Dale and Geist were helping out in the cafeteria. They jumped in after being invited by the staff during a recent listening tour.

The Hilton High School Athletic Hall of Fame will induct six new members at Hilton High School on Friday January 2nd. This year’s honored Hilton CSD athletes are: Nigel Walker 2012 (Indoor and Outdoor Track and Field), Anai Schrader 2013 (Flanagan) (Bowling and Lacrosse), Vanessa L’Abbate 2016 (Soccer), Johnathan Letta 2017 (Basketball and Football), Austin Hertel 2017 (Wrestling), and Tahjae Hill 2020 (Basketball and Football).
The 2026 Induction Ceremony will be held during the Hilton High School Hall of Fame Boys Basketball Tournament January 2nd. We invite all members of the Hilton Athletic Hall of Fame and any community member to attend: reception at 4:30 pm with presentation of inductees in the auditorium at 5:00 pm. The inductees will also be recognized in the gym at the beginning of Hilton Varsity game vs. Gates Chili at 6:30.

Congratulations to High School counselor Kaleem Mogent who was a recipient of NYSSCA’s Leadership Grant Award at last week's New York State School Counselor Association conference. Recipients of this award are selected by a committee of counselors from across NY State for their leadership potential and willingness to commit to serving as a leader within NYSSCA.


As a reward for hitting the goal in their read-a-thon, the students at QUEST were treated to a magic show this afternoon by Patrick Holman. Thanks to the PTSO for sponsoring the event. After all, who doesn't DOVE a little magic?

This morning QUEST had some very special visitors. Students were greeted by cast members from the High School's upcoming production of Cinderella, A Dream Come True. This past weekend Hilton High School hosted the 47th Hilton Model U.N. Conference. 29 schools and more than 700 delegates attended from as far aways as New Hartford, Hamilton, Ithaca, and Fayetteville-Manlius. Hilton senior Lila Wolkenberg-Lewandowski, served as Secretary-General, along with Committee Chairs: Senior Gabriella Maccarone and sophomore Lucas Childs. Aaliah Tobin, sophomore, won Best Delegate for her committee UNDP.
The event raised more than $4,600 for Rochester Rainbow Union and they will also make a donation to the Hilton-Parma Food Pantry.

About a dozen area colleges visited the High School this afternoon for the Western New York College Fair. Students were able to learn first-hand about everything from academic and athletic offerings to extracurriculars and student life.








A correction to this year's District calendar-The 22nd Evening of Jazz at Hilton High School is listed as taking place on February 27-the correct date should be February 13.

Team Infinity from Merton Williams recently took all of their middle schoolers (110 students and 20 adults--including 11 parent chaperones) to the Memorial Art Gallery for a Look to Learn tour. During this tour, students participated in a small group docent-led tours titled “Learning to Look: An Introduction to the Gallery.”
After that. they took a short drive to view a famous piece of Rochester's history: the Clock of Nations. Prior to this visit, the students learned about the clock and its impact on our community & its history.

At last night's Board of Education meeting, we recognized the recipients of this year's Friends of Education Award. Thank you and congratulations to Ryan Rockefeller, ESL (Michelle Shafer), Colleen Nowacki, Deana Turner and Dr. Marjorie Gloff. Also receiving the award but unable to attend were Melissa Molinini, Megan Boise, and Lindsay DeLucia. There was also a presentation from Merton Williams staff and students about the school's 6 go 7 Summer Program. Thanks to students Adalyn, Hadley, Mckenna, and Sienna for sharing your insights.
A great opportunity for students in Steve Randall's Principles of Engineering class. They visited Optimax in Ontario, NY yesterday to learn about real-world engineering in a precision optics environment.
