Today was Science Fun Day at QUEST and it had a little bit of everything, from reptiles to rockets, from owls to our farm animal friends! A great day full of fun and learning. Thanks to all of our presenters and staff for making it all possible.

Fourth graders from Northwood made a big impression with a top official from the New York State Education Department. During a field trip to the Ganondagan State Historic Site they had the opportunity to meet Associate Commissioner Elisa Alvarez, who leads the Office of Bilingual Education and World Languages. The students told her how excited they were about the trip and showed off their second language skills by counting for her in both Spanish and Japanese.
" If your 4th graders are a testament to the work happening across your district, we are confident that our state is in good hands as you prepare the future leaders of New York," said David Frank, State Education Department Commissioner Betty A. Rosa's Chief of Staff.

Congratulations to the four students who received scholarships at last night's BOCES Make all the Difference Awards last night. Brean Maibohm, Sienna Olney, and Jude Hare and Chloe O'Shea, who are pictured with Superintendent Casey Kosiorek.

Today, Cadet Nation is wearing blue and yellow as a show of support for our neighbors in Spencerport after the tragic loss of Maria Eichas, a 2023 graduate of Spencerport High School.

What a great honor for Hilton senior Logan Cook who recently received a three-year scholarship from the Army ROTC. Logan will attend Coastal Carolina University in the fall and after graduating from CCU will be commissioned as a 2nd Lieutenant in the United States Army.

Yesterday was such a great day at the Special Olympics we thought it would be fun to look back on some of the fantastic moments. Watch here: https://youtu.be/Dt6ITKRzFMU

It was a great day to walk, and Village Elementary took advantage, holding their One Healthy Village School Wide Walk. Throughout the day classes could be seen walking through the village to help promote living balanced, and healthy lives.

Great weather, great smiles and a great day of competition as Hilton CSD athletes competed in the Special Olympics at SUNY Brockport today. Great job Cadets!

Last week Merton Williams 8th graders got the chance to see some great sights-both in our area and some not so close. About 230 students spent three days visiting Gettysburg and Washington, DC while another 30 went to the Seneca Park Zoo, the Memorial Art Gallery and Genesee Country Village and Museum.
Special thanks to the advisors and chaperones who put in so much work to make these educational trips possible, and to the Hilton Alumni Association whose generous grants helped support a portion of the expenses for individual students.

Great job by Northwood students Adrianna and Carter presenting their inventions and from Leo giving his TED Talk at last night's Board of Education meeting. Thanks to their REACH teacher Melanie Klock for sharing their talents with us.

What a great day for Village and Northwood sixth graders to get together for the annual track and field event.

A Northwood student has earned a trip to a national competition next week. Find out all about it here: https://youtu.be/CVVgI6jxYWs
